Thank you letter – January 2019

The Friends of Barnack Church and Heating Project

Dear Liz,

I am writing to you, as Chair of the Friends of Barnack Church, to thank you and your Committee so much for the extremely generous support pledged for the Heating Project at Barnack Church.  I was delighted to be told that the Friends have committed an amount of £5,000 for the Project.  Together with two other grants received before Christmas, some fund-raising by Church members themselves, and the planned use of some of the Church’s portfolio reserves, the total amount available to the Project, including your pledge, is now about £43,000.  We are, therefore, well started on the way to securing the amount of £120,000 required for the Project.  There are some grant applications that have also been made recently, and we await the decision on them from the donors.  Over the coming months the fund-raising will continue, and I very much hope that it will be possible to implement the Project in the summer of 2019.  We really appreciate the support that the Friends have given to Barnack Church over many years, and now specifically for their commitment to the Heating Project.

With kind regards,

Yours sincerely,

Revd David Maylor
